Vidvaan was a mock CAT paper, prepared by Team Satyam to test the caliber of the students of 2nd, 3rd and 4th year. The paper was designed to give the feeling of a real CAT exam, with two comprehensions, some follow up questions and a section of mathematics questions, to be completed in a span of 60 minutes. The people qualifying for the next phase would be entitled to a scholarship if they clear the subsequent phases. Students actively participated in the event and realized where they stood in the competition, a kind of an eye-opener.

On the 3rd of November, Team Satyam, with the necessary help from Technovibes, organized a seminar to lay stress on the necessity of English literary and soft skills for clearing exams like GATE and CAT, especially the latter. The Guest speaker of the seminar was Mrs. SurbhiModiSahai, A Hindu College alumnus and a Team Satyam member. The gathering turned out to be really interactive with brilliant word games to test the vocabulary and comprehension skills of the audience. The guest speaker went on to suggest several easy to comply with yet effective methods of improving the command over the language. Here again, the Auditorium registered full occupancy and an amazing turnout of students.
