Surveying and Geomatics Lab: The laboratory of Surveying is well equipped with all the required instruments and tools that are helpful in the overall understanding and practical knowledge of a student.Students learn techniques for gathering field data with both traditional and modern instruments.
Fluid Mechanics Lab: The Fluid Mechanics laboratory is designed to examine the properties of fluids and to conduct experiments involving both incompressible and compressible flow. Facilities are available for investigating the fundamentals of fluid statics as well as kinematics and kinetics of fluid flow to enhance the hands-on experience of our students.
Geotechnical Engineering Lab: The Geotechnical Engineering Laboratory is equipped with facilities to carry out many types of tests on soils. These include testing of a large range of sample sizes for compressibility, shear strength and drainage properties. Basic equipment for soil dynamics field and laboratory experiments, including the resonant column apparatus, CBR apparatus are also available.
Material Testing Lab: Every engineering activity is wrapped with an idea, a design and a construction project. BBDITM capabilities in terms of expertise, experience and state – of –the – art analytical equipment can undertake various type of studies related to research and analysis of various products including Cement, Building materials, Roadwork, Soil & Wood.
Solid Mechanics Lab: This lab introduces students to basic properties of structural materials and behavior of simple structural elements and systems through a series of experiments. Students learn experimental technique, data collection, reduction and analysis, and presentation of results.
Hydraulics & Hydraulic Machine Lab: It is fully equipped with all necessary equipment along with their accessories as required for courses. The laboratory has kept pace with modern technological advancements with the addition of new equipment as and when required. The Hydraulic laboratory is equipped with Pelton wheel, Kaplan turbine, Francis turbine, multistage Centrifugal pumps, Jet pump, Gear oil pump, Submersible pump, Vertical turbine pump test rig, Compressor pump test rig and Reciprocating pump.
Transportation Engineering Lab: The Transportation Engineering lab has equipment required to conduct all standardized tests to assess quality of highway materials, pavement evaluation and traffic engineering studies. Experiments are conducted in pre-, during- and post-construction phases of highways.
Environmental Engineering Lab: he Environmental Engineering laboratory practical provides good insight into different experimental methods relevant to Environmental Engineering. In this lab we perform various test on drinker water and sewage samples to check pH value, total dissolved solids, BOD and COD, total suspended particles etc. as per BIS standard.
Structure Detailing Lab: Detailing is as important as design since proper detailing of engineering designs is an essential link in the planning and engineering process as some of the most devastating connections. And civil engineering department have well equipped lab.
