Inauguration of New Product Development and Innovation Lab

On the 2nd of March, 22 BBDITM, Lucknow in collaboration with VS Energy Technology opened a “Product Development and Innovation Lab”. The inauguration of the lab was done by Dr. S. S. Chauhan, Directorof BBDITM. During the inauguration ceremony registrar, controller of examination, HoDs of all departments, and Mr. Vivek Singh, co-founder of VS Energy Technology were also present. Dr. Chauhan spoke about the benefits of opening the lab. The purpose of this lab is to develop entrepreneur skills among the students and opportunities for startup development. Having entrepreneur skills will help students to generate their own employment and also employment for others. This will also help in the development of the nation. Keeping all these thoughts in mind lab has started giving training to students. During the training program, some innovative products will be developed.

A 5 days virtual event on the topic of “Female foeticide

A 5 days virtual event on the topic of “Female foeticide: a curse of society” was organized by IEEE WIE-AG BBDITM in collaboration with IEEE BBDITM STB held virtually from January 30,2022-February 03,2022. The day1 WIE session was held virtually on 30  January2022 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM on the Zoom app.The topic of the session was “women empowerment” The main objective of this session was to inform the participants about women’sempowerment and raisetheir self-esteem and self-confidence of women. Elimination of discrimination and all forms of violence against women and girl children.The overall session included the expert lecture of Dr. ReenaKumari (assistant professor)department of economics CM college, Lalit Narayan MithilaUniversity, Darbhanga, Bihar.The inaugural session was successfully conducted with positive results.

I E EE DAY CELEBRATION

On the occasion of IEEE Day, IEEE BBDITM STB organized 5 days “IEEE Day Celebration” in hybrid mode.The motto of the IEEE Day is “Leveraging Technology for a Better Tomorrow”. The program was entirely focused on developing technical skills among the participants, Workshop on Arduino, Women Empowerment, Awareness about Conservation & Utilization of Energy resources with the help of the latest advancements, Quizzes, Membership Drive, and many more.The major aim of this 5-day hybrid event was to instill the notion among the participants that IEEE is the world’s largest technical professional organization which is dedicated to advancing technological innovation and excellence for the benefit of humanity and it is composed of students, engineers, scientists, and allied professionals. The participants came to know that IEEE and its members inspire a global community through IEEE’s highly cited publications, conferences, technology standards, and professional and educational activities. The impact of the membership drive was that more than 60+ enthusiastic members joined the IEEE BBDITM STB.Thus the IEEE Day Celebration ended with great success and the participants got inspired to upgrade their skills through one of the best platforms i.e IEEE.

VIRTUAL LEADERSHIP TRAINING WEEK

7 days “Virtual Leadership Training Week (2021)” funded by IEEE Region 10 was organized virtually from August 16, 2021- to August 22, 2021. The main objective of the event was to give an idea to participants about innovation, increment of Strategic & critical thinking skills, startup ideas, awareness of COVID -19, STEM, and also on Cognizance of IEEE. The sessions were marked with the gracious presence of the IEEE President, IEEE WIE Chair, and many many renowned personalities from different erudite backgrounds as our speakers. The 7 days of the event included interesting sessions & competitions. The aim was to explore new dimensions in the field of innovation as an innovative leader is always open to new ideas and dimensions also decision-making skills & inquisitiveness. An innovative leader listens to everyone actively and also motivates others to think out of the box. Thus, the event helped the participants to enhance their concentration, listening skills, innovative mind and to develop knowledge and skills in the areas of interest as everything is important to increase leadership skills. Interviews, professional development, discussions with IEEE Graduate Student Members, social awareness of Covid-19, interactive talks, Quiz Competition, Debate Competition, Sessions on startup ideas had taken place to upgrade leadership skills.

SOCIAL WELFARE WORK OF STUDENT BRANCHES

Dated 7th October 2021, IEEE BBDITM Lucknow in collaboration with WEAG (Women Empowerment Action Group) , had adopted a first village named Papanamau, 5kms and a second village Jhinauli Barabanki, 30kms from the capital of Uttar Pradesh Lucknow. The goal of this group was to provide quality education, and employment and to support the women situated in various villages. This cell works at an institute level, the group consists of both Faculty and Students at the college as its members and works with an aim to create a gender sensitized civic within the campus as well as in the society. It was established with an aim to assess, and organize diverse academic, entrepreneurship, technical, medical, cultural, and social events for the uplifting of women and spread the real importance of gender equality in society through the college faculties and students.
