Mechanical Workshop

Mechanical Engineering Workshop is a place where students acquire knowledge on the operation of various processes involved in manufacturing and production. In Workshop student get hands on knowledge of several Workshop Practices like carpentry, fitting, welding, machining etc and learn safety regulations to be maintained in a shop floor. The Workshop Practice course makes students competent in handling practical work in engineering environment. Mechanical Engineering Workshop helps students in their project work. Mechanical Engineering Workshop is also involved in different maintenance/repair works for our institution.

Engineering graphics & design lab

The subject Engineering Graphics will help the students in many ways for making images, describing the shapes, size, finish ,color and construction any object. Student will learn the base concept of orthographic projection, projection of point lines planes, solids, section of solids and Isometric Projections. An engineering drawing, a type of technical drawing, is used to fully and clearly define requirements for engineered items. Engineering drawing (the activity) produces engineering drawings (the documents). More than merely the drawing of pictures, it is also a language—a graphical language that communicates ideas and information from one mind to another.

Theory Of Machine Lab

This course gives the analysis of relative motion between the various parts of a machine, and the forces which act on them. It also explains about the inversion of machine. Inversion is the main principle by which any has to be made for specific purpose. Gyroscope basically used for the explanation of designing application of the aerospace machinery like aero plane and ships.

Heat & Mass Transfer

This course helps the students to develop fundamental knowledge of basic modes of heat transfer & learn the concept of conductive heat transfer, empirical correlations for both forced and free convection. Student will also learn the concept of radiation heat transfer, emissivity of test plate & stefan’s-Boltzmann’s constant.

I.C ENGINE & AUTOMOBILE LAB

This course gives basics of main components of an automobile. Student will be able to understand the transmission system, steering system, braking system, wheel balancing, suspension system, lighting system along with electrical circuits and electrical components used in automobile. Student can gain the detail knowledge of chassis system also.

Applied Thermodynamics Lab

This course is Improve the understanding of principles and performance of various boilers and engines. After going to this lab course student will be able to understand the types of boiler and its working, two and four stroke petrol and diesel engines, steam turbine by compounding of pressure and velocity, Steam Engine, Gas turbine and etc. mainly student identify, how the energy can be utilized by changing its nature.

Fluid Mechanics & Fluid Machines

This lab is run in conjunction with the theory course of second year  (Fluid Mechanics &  Fluid Machines). The goals of this lab course are to inculcate the principles and performance characteristics of flow and thermal devices and know about the measurement of the fluid properties.

Computer Aided Machine Drawing-I Lab

This course helps the students to understand the knowledge of machine drawing ethics, orthographic projection, types of fasteners, riveted joints & free hand sketching, assembly drawing and also CAD software for drafting.

Computer Aided Machine Drawing-Ii Lab

This course helps the students to understand the knowledge of conventional representation of machine components and materials, details of drawing, limits, fits, tolerances, part modeling of simple machines components using software & assembly.

Manufacturing Process Lab

This lab helps the students to understand and develop an appreciation of the processes in correlation with material properties which change the shape, size and form of the raw materials into the desirable product by conventional or unconventional manufacturing methods.

Material Testing Lab

This course helps the students to understand the principles and performance characteristics of different materials and also learn about material properties.

Machine Design Lab

Machine Design Lab deals with the techniques to give software based result of any type of decision problem and in expectations for other data same program can be easily adapted. The laboratory consists of computer with installed C language program for design mechanical component.

CAD/CAM Lab

The CAD/CAM Lab is aimed at giving coverage to and enhancing the knowledge and skills of operations and use of CNC machines, CAD packages. It gives exposure and on hand experience in the field of CAD/CAM and CNC machines, Computer Integrated Manufacturing and Industrial Robots.
