The Internal Level Smart India Hackathon 2024, held at the Stepper Hall, New Engineering Block of BBDITM, provided an excellent platform for students to present their innovative projects. The event aimed to harness students’ technological skills and problem-solving abilities to tackle real-world challenges posed by various government departments and organizations.

The primary objective of the event was to invite students to showcase their projects before an esteemed panel of jury members. It offered students an opportunity to demonstrate their expertise across diverse domains while receiving constructive feedback to refine their ideas further.

The internal-level Smart India Hackathon 2024 comprised three rounds:
1. Round 1 and Round 2: Held on 17th and 18th September 2024 at Stepper Hall- 17 teams selected.
2. Final Round: Conducted on 27th September 2024at Stepper Hall- 15 teams selected.
3. WildCard Selection (As per request initiated by Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell and AICTE): Conducted on 7th Oct 2024 at Stepper Hall- 1 teams selected.

The evaluation criteria for the event included the following aspects:
● Novelty of the idea
● Clarity of presentation
● Adherence to the prescribed format
● Process flow and use case diagram
● Level of innovation
Out of 33 participating teams (each consisting of 6 members), all were shortlisted based on the aforementioned criteria, demonstrating a high standard of competition.

The event was graced by a distinguished panel of jury members, who provided valuable feedback and guided the participants throughout the competition:

The Internal Smart India Hackathon 2024 at BBDNITM was a resounding success, fostering a culture of innovation and providing students with a platform to explore new ideas and solutions. The enthusiasm and dedication displayed by the participants were truly inspiring, reflecting the immense potential of young minds in driving technological advancements and addressing critical challenges in our society.

Following each presentation, the jury members provided insightful and constructive feedback, acknowledging the hard work and creativity demonstrated by the students. They expressed sincere appreciation for the participants’ efforts and offered guidance to help refine and enhance their projects for future implementation. Their encouragement and recommendations served as a source of motivation for students to further develop their ideas and strive for excellence.
The event, organized by Dr. Diwakar Yagyasen, Professor and SPOC, and guided by Dr. Anurag Tiwari, HOD CSE and Training & Placement Officer, and Dr. Manuj Darbari, Head Research &Development, showcased incredible solutions to real-world challenges with inspiring enthusiasm and creativity. We were privileged to have Dr. S. S. Chauhan, Director BBDITM, whose motivating words encouraged participants to continue pursuing excellence and innovation.

The internal-level Smart India Hackathon 2024 at Babu Banarasi Das Institute of Technology and Management concluded with resounding success, providing an outstanding platform for students to showcase their innovative projects. The enthusiasm and dedication demonstrated by the participating teams were truly commendable. Such events are instrumental in nurturing a culture of creativity, innovation, and problem-solving within our student community, inspiring them to tackle real-world challenges with confidence and ingenuity.
