Abhinay—The Purity of Expressions—is the Official Dramatics Club of BBDITM.
Founded in the spring of 2008.
Our journey began with a dramatized rendition of Mutthi Bhar Gosht, whichsparked a passion for theatrical expression and established a legacy that thrives today.
Since its inception,Abhinay has been a platform for students to explore and showcase their acting talents while building confidence and overcoming stage fright.

Team Abhinay had the incredible honor of being selected as finalists at Antaragni, the renowned cultural fest of IIT Kanpur, one of the most prestigious platforms for college dramatics in India. Representing our college on such a grand stage was both a proud moment and a significant milestone for our society.
Our team competed in a wide range of dramatics categories, including:
- Street Play – Delivered a socially impactful and high-energy performance that captured the audience’s attention.
- Stage Play – Showcased a compelling narrative with powerful acting and stage presence, reflecting our depth in theatre.
- Mime – Performed a visually striking and thought-provoking act, emphasizing emotion without words.
- Monoact – Highlighted individual talent through intense and expressive solo performances.
- Poetry – Shared original spoken-word pieces that resonated deeply, blending performance with poetic expression.
Outcome:
Our team had an incredible experience performing at Antaragni, IIT Kanpur, showcasing our passion for drama and literature in multiple events. Among our performances, we achieved a proud milestone by securing 4th place in the Mime Competition!

The celebrations commenced with the traditional Ganesh Sthapana, followed by various devotional and cultural activities throughout the two days. A series of bhajan and aarti sessions created a divine ambiance, allowing everyone to seek the blessings of Lord Ganesha. The final day was the highlight of the event, featuring spectacular dance performances, skits, and musical renditions that beautifully depicted the significance of Ganesh Chaturthi and its cultural essence. The celebrations concluded with the Ganesh Visarjan, where participants bid farewell to Lord Ganesha with heartfelt prayers and hopes for prosperity and wisdom.

- Street Play – Secured 1st place, with a powerful performance that struck a chord with both judges and the audience.

Our team delivered stellar performances at Manfest-Varchasva, the prestigious fest of IIM Lucknow, and emerged as the Runners-Up in both Drama Events, Nukkad Natak and Mono-Act!
